After a week break, we are so excited to return with the beautiful bright light that is Jenny Ravitz! In this episode, we chat with Jenny about the importance of normalizing taking a break from the industry and prioritizing mental health, and the value of answering the question "How are you?" with honesty and vulnerability. We also loved hearing her climb from casting intern to casting director at Jonathan Strauss Casting, and hearing about what makes her exceptional at her job. Some highlights: her "Big Cheerleader Energy" working with actors in the room and advocating for them to the creative team, and going above and beyond to provide actors with helpful adjustments on their auditions via phone calls and email. I mean, how amazing is that? She also shares her experience with spondyloarthritis, exemplifying the same honesty and vulnerability that she values in the artists she meets in her office.
